MIGRANTS

It was MIGRANTS, premiering, that opened the winter review of the
Roccella Jazz Festival "JAZZY CHRISTMAS 2014."
Music and solo piano performance by Nicola Sergio, artist and composer
Calabrian established in Paris, staging and direction by Nino Cannatà,
testimony and narrative voice of Mahmmoud Atiia, for an original production
made in Calabria, which benefits from the contribution of important partners such as the
Foundation "Paolo Cresci" for the history of Italian emigration in Lucca, which
provided scientific advice and archival materials, and the extraordinary images
coming from the collaboration with Fabrizio Gatti, with the NGO Children in the
Desert and the General Command of the Guardia di Finanza, and also Libera, the
Municipality of Riace, the Solidarity Pole for Legality of Novigrad and the Volunteers of the
Civil Defense "A. Ursino" of Roccella Jonica.
